War is a destructive force that has been present throughout human history. It has caused immense suffering and destruction and has had a lasting impact on the world. When a dispute between the States is not settled by peaceful means and ultimately by coercive means, then States may resort to war. Therefore, War is an ultimate means of settling international disputes.
